Once I got into it, I really did love this book. I don't care if you love or hate the Twilight books, give this book a chance if you like dystopian stories with a sci-fi twist and strong lead female characters!
I'm really curious to see what the movie will be like, despite my reservations on some of the actors... Stars of the film will include: Saoirse Ronan, Jake Abel, Max Irons, William Hurt, Diane Kruger, Chandler Canterbury, Boyd Holbrook.

Apparently there are going to be 2 more books as well *shrugs*
I think this one kind of snuck up on everyone. With the hype for the breaking dawn movies, I don't know how much success this one will get. I imagine that die hard Twilight fangirls will dislike the host mainly because it has a lack of sparkly vampires and topless wolfmen.
I loved The Host a lot more than Twilight (I admit I gave up in the middle of Breaking Dawn), so I am definitely anticipating the movie. Which reminds me, I saw the trailer for it in the theater when I went to watch The Hunger Games, and I felt giddy in my seat!

I'm a bit behind on my blog reading, but I completely agree with you about The Host. It is so much better than the Twilight series. I think it has the makings of a good film as well.
