Policies: Review and Contest

REVIEW POLICY
Please note at this time I do accept self published books, so please do not email me e-books or manuscripts. Such emails will be immediately deleted. The information below will however inform blogger, authors or publishers of the types of books I am willing to accept.

I enjoy reading YA and Pre-Teen fiction particularly Fantasy, Urban Fantasy, Steampunk and Paranormal titles, as well as debut authors in these genres.

Reviews are posted on GoodReads, Amazon (if requested) and I will post a link to the review on my Twitter account.

I cannot guarantee to review every single book I get sent - obviously I try my best and fully intend to review everything I receive but from time to time there may be a book I don't end up reviewing. I am not particularly interested in Biographies, Autobiographies, or Non-Fiction, and feel that they are many other great bloggers who would be interested in reading and reviewing these genres.

I am happy to host giveaways, interviews, guest posts or be part of a blog tour.

Acceptable format: ARC, paperback, hardback, or e-books if previously agreed.

I do not accept: PDFs, Graphic Novels, Manga, Comic Books, or self-published books.

What should you expect from my review? My reviews are a personal and honest account of my reading experience, covering some or all of the following: characterisation, plot, pace, dialogue, narrative voice, quality of writing, and my overall enjoyment of the book.

If you adhere to the above requirements, please do not hesitate to email me about arranging a review/guest post etc. Please note that I am based in the UK.

CONTEST POLICY
Contests and book giveaways are held to thank the followers, promote new authors or celebrate blogging achievements. The following guidelines are needed to ensure the online safety of participants and the efficient management of such contests.

Under 16 Entrants: If a person under 16 wishes to participate in this contest, they must provide their parent/guardian's email address. In which case, if they win the contest I will contact their parent/guardian for an appropriate postal address. This way under 16s will not have to give out any personal data and may still participate in these opportunities. If I find that any person under the age of 16 has not been following these guidelines, I will block them from following my blog to protect their online safety. I want everyone to be able to enjoy the fun aspects of blogging whilst remaining safe online.

Winner Notification Email: I will notify by email the competition winners following the closing date. I ask that the winner responds to that email within a 48 hour period. If no contact is received, then I reserve the right to select another winner. If you expect to be unable to respond around the closing date for specific reasons, then please drop me an email.

Dispatch of Prizes: Upon receiving the postal address of the winner, I aim to dispatch the prize within seven days, unless otherwise informed. Sadly, I am not responsible for prizes that get lost in the mail. I also cannot guarantee the delivery date of any prize or of the dispatch date of any prize from a publishers' contest.

Personal data may be passed onto publishes, if they are sponsoring the giveaway.
You may only enter a competition once.

Thank you, Hannah
